What is medical dermatology?

Medical dermatology diagnoses and treats disease and acute skin conditions. These conditions can include acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and skin cancer.

Dr Hiba Injibar’s role as a medical dermatologist is to identify the cause and severity of a skin problem and then devise a suitable plan of action for treatment.

As we also carry out cosmetic treatments at Dermasurge, we take into consideration the cosmetic impact of all our medical treatments.

Why have medical dermatology treatments at Dermasurge?

Dr Hiba has over 20 years of expertise as a clinical dermatologist and of medical dermatology. She has practiced in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and in the UK from the Harley Street clinic.

She previously held roles within the NHS, including serving as a Consultant Dermatologist at North Middlesex University Hospital. She is now a full-time dermatologist at Dermasurge. Due to her impressive skill set, skin needs can be diagnosed and treated in one place: here at Dermasurge.

We often see referrals from GPs where patients have a persistent problem that either the GP or over the counter treatments could not solve.

Are you looking for a second opinion for a medical dermatology condition?

We are happy to offer a second opinion for any advice you may have been given.

If you are not in town , or for some other reason you are unable to come to the clinic, we are also offer virtual appointments through Zoom, Facetime, and Whatsapp. Dr Hiba can go over your symptoms with you and prescribe any necessary medication. We have also teamed up with Pharmacierge who are an online pharmacy that can deliver your medication straight to your door.

Dr Hiba saved me. I need to see someone urgently about a fast growing/change growth under my eye. Dr Hiba took me in on her break. She did a wonderful job on removing the growth at a sensitive area. Stitches out this morning and it is almost invisible. Professional, soft-spoken – could not recommend her enough!

I had my first Ultraformer HIFU treatment at Dermasurge today with Manuela and I couldn’t be happier with the experience.

Manuela was incredibly professional, patient and reassuring throughout the whole session. She explained every step clearly and made sure I was comfortable, allowing breaks whenever needed and chatting with me to distract from the more intense parts of the treatment. I really appreciated how attentive and caring she was.

The treatment itself was thorough and carefully done — I felt confident I was in very experienced hands. Manuela took her time and made sure every area was treated properly, which gave me a lot of trust in the process.

Dermasurge has a very professional and calm environment, and I’m looking forward to seeing my results over the next few weeks and continuing my treatment plan. Highly recommend Manuela if you’re considering HIFU treatment.

Had a consultation today with Doctor Hiba, and so far very pleased with her recommendation and explanation about my treatments she suggested which is Subcision and CO2 laser resurfacing according to my skin concerns (Acne scarring and few traumatic scars). Also would like to say that Girls at the reception are very welcoming and made me feel valued. Very excited, and will update more information after outcome of my treatment. I’ve been attending Dermasurge for the past 4 months for laser and Botox treatments. The staff are all very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. An excellent TEAM!

My teenage daughter attended having suffered with bouts of regular breakouts which caused her significant concern and distress. Dr Hiba took the time to explain what was causing the problem and gave very pragmatic and honest advice about the treatment pathway. Less than a week later the results are already evident and my daughter; who only last week felt very low about her skin now has hope that she doesn’t need to suffer any longer.

Ridwana was also incredibly kind and understanding. She shared her own experiences with my daughter making her feel much more at easy.

The entire clinic has a calming yet professional atmosphere which is exactly how the clinical experience also felt.
