What does the treatment do?

During laser skin resurfacing with ResurFX treatment, thermal energy is used to remove the damaged outer layers of the skin. This helps to reveal fresher, healthier skin underneath it. This also stimulates the natural repair functions of the skin.

Laser skin resurfacing targets problem areas with pinpoint precision, so that the surrounding tissues and structures remain undamaged whilst outstanding results are still achieved. The treatment is highly effective at smoothing the skin, evening tone, and brightening the complexion, with results improving for up to 6 months post-treatment as the process of skin repair is boosted.

Am I a candidate for Laser Resurfacing?

Laser skin resurfacing is a highly versatile treatment for a range of skin concerns, and using advance techniques, can effectively treat a range of skin tones and types. Those who suffer with active acne should not seek laser skin resurfacing treatments, and patients should be prepared to avoid sun exposure for several months post-treatment. For this reason, we recommend undergoing treatment during the Autumn or Winter months. During your consultation, Dr Injibar will fully assess your suitability for this treatment.

Will I need multiple treatments?

In some circumstances, a course of treatment may be necessary to achieve optimal results. Dr Injibar will be able to help determine how many sessions to expect to meet your goals during the consultation process.

Will I see results immediately?

Whilst patients will notice an immediate improvement, the full scope of the benefits won’t be evident until collagen is fully stimulated until around 3-6 months after treatments.

My teenage daughter attended having suffered with bouts of regular breakouts which caused her significant concern and distress. Dr Hiba took the time to explain what was causing the problem and gave very pragmatic and honest advice about the treatment pathway.
